Best Hair Transplant Clinics in France: 2026 Ranking
Our independent 2026 ranking of hair transplant clinics in France, each scored out of 100 on the doctor's real role, screening, follow-up, results and value. Built for international patients.
By J.M. Leclerc, Updated 23 July 2026
In brief
Choosing a hair transplant clinic is one of the hardest decisions of the whole process. The market is opaque: prices vary wildly, before-and-after photos are carefully selected, and a good Google rating tells you nothing about the surgeon’s skill or the quality of follow-up.
This ranking has one goal: to give you an independent way to read the market. We steer you toward no clinic in particular. We assess each one on concrete medical criteria, first among them the doctor’s real role in the operating room, and we always say what we could verify and what we could not.

The 2026 ranking
Each clinic gets an overall score out of 100, from an editorial assessment across six medical and practical criteria (the full method is public). The ranking runs from the most complete, most proven setup to the least documented. The score does not judge any single procedure: it places a clinic on what drives the long-term result.
32 clinics
- 01
Dr. Bruno Mousseigne
🇫🇷 Paris €8,000+One of the most experienced hair-transplant surgeons in France. He personally conducts the consultation and performs the incisions, with close follow-up. A clearly premium positioning.
87 /100 Note : 87 sur 100 Read review → - 02
Regenae
🇫🇷 Paris €2,250 to €5,250A Paris centre where the doctor handles both the consultation and the incisions, at a more accessible price than premium clinics. Its distinctive trait, and what weighs most in its score: it is one of the few centres — along with CMCC — dedicated exclusively to hair transplantation, where most establishments perform it among other cosmetic procedures. Candidate selection based on biometric analysis, follow-up by the doctor, and cases regularly documented on independent forums.
85 /100 Note : 85 sur 100 Read review → - 03
Maison Lutetia
🇫🇷 Paris €8,000+A historic, upscale Paris institution for DHI, where the doctor personally performs the incisions. What holds it back in our grid: with several practitioners under one roof, public feedback varies noticeably from one doctor to another, and long-term follow-up is not always handled by the same doctor. A solid framework, but a less consistent experience than centres where a single doctor carries the whole journey.
80 /100 Note : 80 sur 100 Read review → - 04
CMCC – Centre Médical de Chirurgie Capillaire
🇫🇷 Paris €8,000+A medicalized Paris clinic where the doctor handles both the consultation and the incisions. A complete framework, with results and a track record less extensively documented than the clinics ranked above it.
79 /100 Note : 79 sur 100 Read review → - 05
NHT Medical Center
🇫🇷 Avignon from €3,800One of France's historic FUE clinics, built around Dr Ginouves (scalp surgery since 1985), with broadly positive forum feedback and genuine technical depth (long hair FUE, hair analysis). One current caveat: the structure's governance changed in early 2026 (a matter of commercial-registry record), and there is still limited track record under the new organisation. An excellent history, a transition to watch.
74 /100 Note : 74 sur 100 Read review → - 06
Cap'Clinic (Dr Alain Brun)
🇫🇷 Marseille €3,500 to €4,900In Marseille, one of the few clinics where the doctor operates personally: the website states that Dr Alain Brun, a member of the French Society of Hair Transplantation, carries out the entire procedure himself, assisted by nurses. A clear medical framework and good value for money; on the other hand, a modest caseload and results that remain sparsely documented on independent forums.
70 /100 Note : 70 sur 100 Read review → - 07
Dr Eve Youssof
🇫🇷 Marseille €2,600 to €3,200A doctor-operator working from a private practice, Dr Eve Youssof (a university diploma in baldness treatment, registered with the Medical Board) conducts the consultation herself and performs the entire FUE transplant. An accessible approach and good value for money, with patient feedback on independent forums. The trade-off: a lower graft volume per session than at a larger clinic.
68 /100 Note : 68 sur 100 Read review → - 08
Capillo Paris
🇫🇷 Paris from €4,500A recent hair centre in the Marais (opened in early 2024), with a polished setup (260 m², several dedicated rooms) and a broad offer (FUE with Choi pen or sapphire blades, mesotherapy, scalp micropigmentation). A young structure, still lightly documented on independent forums, which leaves less track record than established centres; pricing sits at the higher end of the Paris range. A sound profile for a moderate-volume transplant, worth comparing before committing.
63 /100 Note : 63 sur 100 Read review → - 09
Clinique des Champs-Élysées
🇫🇷 Paris from €3,500A thorough medical consultation and trichoscopic analysis, but the incisions are delegated to technicians. A partial framework, at a mid-range price.
62 /100 Note : 62 sur 100 Read review → - 10
Dr Gilles Sainte-Rose
🇫🇷 Lyon from €2,000A Lyon plastic surgeon (a graduate of the French College of Plastic Surgery), Dr Sainte-Rose states that he operates on his patients himself and does not delegate. This gives him the best-documented, verifiable credentials in the Lyon market. The caveat is the absence of independent patient feedback specifically about his hair transplants, as his public reviews mostly concern other cosmetic procedures.
62 /100 Note : 62 sur 100 Read review → - 11
Dr Raphaël Messas
🇫🇷 Bordeaux on requestA Bordeaux plastic surgeon and member of SOFCEP (a verifiable learned society), Dr Messas presents the transplant as a procedure performed by the surgeon himself. This is the most solid set of credentials in the Bordeaux market. The caveat is the same as for most general aesthetic-surgery practices: little public detail on the FUE protocol and no independent patient feedback specifically about his transplants.
60 /100 Note : 60 sur 100 Read review → - 12
Dr Thierry Fontaine
🇫🇷 Lille €3,000 to €9,900A dermatologist in the Lille metropolitan area, holder of a university diploma in scalp surgery and a former president of a learned society of aesthetic dermatology, Dr Fontaine has the most specifically qualified hair-transplant profile we found in Lille. The caveat, which applies strongly to the whole Lille market: his page does not specify whether he personally performs the implantation (DHI, often shared with assistants), and there is no independent patient feedback available.
57 /100 Note : 57 sur 100 Read review → - 13
The Clinic
🇫🇷 Paris €3,800 to €15,000A long-established Paris structure (a stable team claimed for over 13 years), with an identifiable responsible doctor and a broad technical offer (manual FUE, a hybrid punch suited to afro hair, the ARTAS robot). The clinic itself describes a team-based model: the doctor is responsible and alone performs the incisions, but extraction and implantation are delegated to assistants, and part of the journey is carried by a technical director who is not a doctor. That transparency is welcome, but the model remains well below pure doctor-operators.
57 /100 Note : 57 sur 100 Read review → - 14
Clinique Esthétique Aquitaine
🇫🇷 Bordeaux from €3,000A Le Bouscat clinic (Dr Lemierre, performing transplants since 1998) offering manual FUE, FUT, and ARTAS robotic transplantation. The website presents the consultation, extraction, and reimplantation as being carried out by the doctor, which is the right model, but this is a claim made by the clinic itself, with no confirmation from a third-party source. It is also worth noting that several commercial brands share the same address, which blurs the identification of the practitioner responsible.
56 /100 Note : 56 sur 100 Read review → - 15
Racine Carrée
🇫🇷 Paris €2,000 to €4,250A Paris-area network at mid-range pricing, with a strong presence on forums. The underlying caveat: the practitioner changes from one procedure to another (several doctors' names come up repeatedly), and the actual role of the named doctor in the operating room is not guaranteed, as some of the procedures may fall to technicians. A model that should be spelled out in writing before committing.
56 /100 Note : 56 sur 100 Read review → - 16
Dr Luc Vanrenterghem
🇫🇷 Lille on requestA Lille plastic surgeon registered with the Medical Board (verifiable RPPS number), who consults on Boulevard de la Liberté and operates in a genuine surgical facility (a private hospital in Tourcoing). This is a structural strength rarely found in Lille. The caveat: the FUE protocol is not detailed (who performs the extraction, who does the implantation), and there is no independent patient feedback specifically about his hair transplants.
55 /100 Note : 55 sur 100 Read review → - 17
Dr Jean-Pierre Gobin
🇫🇷 Lyon €1.19 per graftA single-practitioner practice in Lyon's 7th arrondissement, where Dr Gobin states that he personally performs the extraction and implantation, with clear per-graft pricing (around €1.19). The solo-practice format and transparent pricing are both positives. Two caveats: the doctor holds a diploma in anti-aging morphological medicine, not surgery or dermatology, and no independent post-transplant feedback can be found.
54 /100 Note : 54 sur 100 Read review → - 18
Erev Capillaire
🇫🇷 Marseille from €3,000A Marseille clinic offering FUE and DHI from €3,000. A doctor (Dr Danan) is named by a third-party directory, but the website does not specify who conducts the consultation or performs the incisions, and no feedback can be found on specialist forums. A framework that needs precise clarification before committing.
54 /100 Note : 54 sur 100 Read review → - 19
Dr Pascal Grangé
🇫🇷 Bordeaux on requestA single-practitioner practice dedicated to hair transplantation (Dr Grangé, a 1984 graduate of Bordeaux medical school, performing transplants since 2003). The solo format suggests a doctor who is genuinely hands-on, and one patient testimonial exists on a third-party platform. The clear caveat is the absence of any published practice address for what is a surgical procedure, a transparency gap we flag.
53 /100 Note : 53 sur 100 Read review → - 20
Centre des Canuts
🇫🇷 Lyon from €6,500A Croix-Rousse clinic run by two doctors holding a university diploma in baldness treatment (Dr Ponçon, Dr Gmati), who perform the transplant themselves, without a robot. Two caveats, though: according to forum discussions, graft sorting reportedly isn't done under a microscope, and, more importantly, the clinic has no documented independent patient feedback, which makes it impossible to verify the consistency of results.
52 /100 Note : 52 sur 100 Read review → - 21
Anthèse Bordeaux
🇫🇷 Bordeaux from €3,850A Bordeaux hair clinic bringing together Dr Romain and Dr Emma Lavocat (verifiable RPPS registration for Dr Emma Lavocat, who holds a university diploma on hair loss). The practitioners are identified, and the technical offering is broad (manual and robotic FUE). The point of concern is vague wording around the procedure itself: the website states that implantation is 'carried out by the team' and that some techniques 'do not necessarily require a surgeon,' without guaranteeing who actually performs the incisions and implantation.
51 /100 Note : 51 sur 100 Read review → - 22
Clinique des Champs-Élysées (Lyon)
🇫🇷 Lyon from €3,500The Lyon branch of the national CRPCE network (Clinique des Champs-Élysées), in the Brotteaux district. No surgeon is named on the dedicated page, and the protocol describes assisted placement, making this a model where the procedure is not clearly attributed to an identified doctor. The review score specific to the Lyon branch is also noticeably lower than the group's national brand image.
50 /100 Note : 50 sur 100 Read review → - 23
Racine Carrée (Marseille)
🇫🇷 Marseille from €3,500The Marseille branch (opened in early 2026, at Le Prado) of the Racine Carrée network. Same underlying caveat as the rest of the network: the practitioner who operates varies from one procedure to another, and the actual role of the named doctor in the operating room is not guaranteed. On top of that, this branch is too recent to have any track record specific to Marseille.
50 /100 Note : 50 sur 100 Read review → - 24
Clinique du Grand Paris
🇫🇷 Paris €3,800 to €6,800An affordable Paris offering, but neither the medical consultation nor the doctor's performance of the incisions is documented.
49 /100 Note : 49 sur 100 Read review → - 25
Clinique Crillon
🇫🇷 Lyon €1,000 to €9,600A well-established Lyon clinic (Dr Briançon), and above all the most extensively documented address in the city on independent forums. That is precisely what pulls its ranking down: the available public patient feedback, including one case with photos, ranges from mixed to clearly negative (density judged insufficient, consultation judged incomplete). A point of concern about the consistency of results, more than about the medical framework itself.
48 /100 Note : 48 sur 100 Read review → - 26
Clinique des Champs-Élysées (Bordeaux)
🇫🇷 Bordeaux from €3,500The Bordeaux branch of the national CRPCE network. No surgeon is named on the dedicated page, and the protocol explicitly describes a team of 'one doctor and two to three assistants,' without specifying who handles the needle during implantation. It is one of the few Bordeaux clinics to document a team-based approach this clearly, which is a reasonable indication of an at least partly delegated model.
48 /100 Note : 48 sur 100 Read review → - 27
Clinique des Champs-Élysées (Lille)
🇫🇷 Lille from €3,500The Lille branch of the national CRPCE network, and the best-documented clinic in the city. The delegated model is openly acknowledged by the group itself: its own communication describes a doctor who 'marks out the areas' and an 'assistant' who 'makes the micro-incision and inserts the graft.' Reviews mention 'graft technicians' in Lille who are distinct from the doctor. This is transparent, but it is a model where the procedure itself is not performed by a doctor.
48 /100 Note : 48 sur 100 Read review → - 28
Néoclinique
🇫🇷 Marseille around €4,000A Marseille clinic with an industrial-scale organization (a team of around fifteen people). Dr Frandjian is featured prominently, but patient feedback on independent forums raises questions about the exact role of those involved during the operation, and the clinic does not clearly document who performs the incisions. A point that absolutely must be clarified at the consultation.
48 /100 Note : 48 sur 100 Read review → - 29
Maison Marignan
🇫🇷 Paris €3,490 to €8,000A carefully managed welcome, but the medical pathway, both consultation and incisions, is not documented as being handled by a doctor.
45 /100 Note : 45 sur 100 Read review → - 30
Racine Carrée (Lyon)
🇫🇷 Lyon from €2,000The Lyon branch of the Racine Carrée network, opened in early 2026 (Rue Molière). As elsewhere in the network, the organization does not guarantee patients in advance which practitioner will perform their procedure. It is also a very recent branch, with no patient track record of its own. Before committing, it is wise to have the name of the doctor who will operate confirmed, along with their Medical Board registration and their exact role during the procedure.
44 /100 Note : 44 sur 100 Read review → - 31
Graft Paris
🇫🇷 Paris under €3,000A budget-focused positioning in Paris. The key procedures are not documented as being performed by a doctor; to be examined with caution.
43 /100 Note : 43 sur 100 Read review → - 32
La Microgreffe
🇫🇷 Lille €3,500 to €7,500The only clinic in the Lille metropolitan area entirely dedicated to hair transplantation (Villeneuve-d'Ascq), run by a general practitioner, which could support genuine follow-up. Two caveats nonetheless call for direct verification: several people are involved in the operating room and each one's exact status deserves confirmation, and some public patient feedback describes disappointed expectations about the result. Points to clarify with the clinic before committing.

How to read this ranking
A high score does not mean “best for everyone”: it means the clinic’s medical setup offers the most guarantees on the criteria that matter. Whatever the score, the same rule applies before you book: ask the clinic to confirm, in writing, who performs your surgery and exactly how follow-up will work once you are home.
